I recently finished my entry for the Treasures of the Gypsy Challenge. It was my first time entering. Although there was a lot of paperwork, I was happy that I finished my doll and sent her on her way. Her skirt is made up of cut up squares and rectangles of different fabrics and pieced together like a quilt. She is dipping her toes into acrylic water. The rocks, waterfall and tree trunk are all made of a light weight modeling compound called "Delight" and then painted.

Hoffman Doll Challenge
I am entering the Hoffman Challenge for the first time. I finally got my entry finished. The Hoffman fabrics that I used were called "Earth Pearl" and "Green Pearl" so the Name of my entry is "Earth's Future is Green". She was adapted from Sherry Goshen's Celyn pattern and I used her Jesse pressmold. (Cloth over clay...my first attempt at that as well).

Creations In Fiber
One of the Winners by Agnes Illey of the Netherlands....
I recently returned from a Creations In Fiber Conference in New Mexico. It was wonderful to see old friends and meet new ones. I took a 3-day class with Sherry Goshen and Jean Bernard...two fantastic teachers. There were two Perfect Score winners this year, my Friend Agnes from the Netherlands and Ms. Nancy Gawron a famous teacher of Critters.
